A View Into The Healing Rooms

There are already 33 Healing Rooms in America and also in other parts of the world which originated in Spokane, but are independent of it. And many more are being prepared as we speak.

Now, what happens in these Healing Rooms? Let's visit together Healing Rooms of Rick and Lori Taylor in Santa Maria, California.

The loving atmosphere in the room where we wait for prayer is very soothing. There is quiet worship music, which prepares us inwardly for the work of the Holy Spirit. A team of three people prays for those that are seeking healing. Often the Holy Spirit speaks through words of knowledge, impressions or visions and leads us to the roots of some of our illnesses. In the quiet atmosphere this will be talked about and prayed over. One thing is very very clear; God wants the whole human being to be healthy.

Sometimes these healings happen as a process, in which case, those seeking healing come back again and again for prayer until such a time they notice a change. In any case, the results are awesome.

During my visit for example, I met a woman, who after having been prayed for fell into the arms of her girlfriend, weeping. She said, "I have had the worst migraines and bad back pain for three years. About a year ago I had to have an operation which didn't even help. The pain just kept going on. When they were praying for me today the prayer team realized that one of my legs was noticeably shorter than the other. Well, the Lord grew my leg. They kept on praying and placing their hands on my back. The pain disappeared completely. I am so grateful to the Lord. I can hardly wait to tell my husband. He is not a believer yet. But wait until he notices the difference in me. I am so grateful!"

Another woman said, "Last Wednesday my husband was here. He has been having such bad heart problems that he has hardly been able to move. When we go for a walk he has to keep pausing after short periods because he loses his breath so quickly. He could hardly do anything anymore. And he's never been like this in his whole life. After having been prayed for, he was immediately healed. Completely. Yesterday he even went up on a ladder. He is doing fantastic! I am so grateful to God!"

Just before the magazine deadline, I received news from Santa Maria that some people had been healed of cancer. And one woman who was supposed to have her leg amputated was prayed for two days before the surgery and was healed completely so that there was no need to have the surgery. What a testimony!

God Overtook Me

Personally, I have the following to tell. For about 16 years I have had a three-pronged back pain, scoliosis, a spine that is twisted within itself. A joint that is so immobile it seems like being welded in place. Every single day I was in pain. And sometimes the pain was so strong I would almost pass out.

I was prayed over much in those days. Even in Spokane and also in Santa Maria. During a conversation with Cal Pierce I gave voice to my small faith one day and said, "It's not going to be easy to write about these Healing Rooms with conviction when I haven't had any healing myself." However, they kept praying for me.

I was waiting for something like what I had kept hearing about. That I would get hot or get a tingly feeling all over. Nothing. I was really disappointed. However, I can testify to the fact that my faith has been growing these days. My understanding of deliverance has changed. I have become more and more sure that it includes healing also.
