“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said the them, ‘Your brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?'” Matthew 3:7

Sometimes I picture the scene in my mind and then I laugh. I realize this is serious but picture it. This radical prophet dressed kind of crazy, having no fear of man at all sees this group of respected religious men and this is what they hear. Can you imagine if you were in the crowd. What if you were there with your family and hear this being said. I would have gathered up my family and gotten out of there, imagining a fight to ensue.

We need men and women like John, unafraid of men and their opinions, only aware of what God thinks. Unafraid to stand up and declare the truth which sets people free.

God, I pray that You would rise up a company of people with the heart attitude of John.
