The Hand of God

The hand of God is capable of doing anything if only we believe.

THE HAND OF GOD

The Hand of God is spoken of a lot in the Bible. Reference is frequently to the Right Hand of the Lord. Thinking about the HAND of GOD is worth time. We have a right hand and a left hand. A perfect match. Why would the Right Hand be any better than the left one?

In God’s order, HE LIKES apparently THE RIGHT HAND. His constant use of His Right Hand leads to this understanding. The Lord’s Right HAND is exalted high. The Right Hand is considered favorable and the Right side of a person is seen as accessing the whole person.

When the Lord came to strengthen Paul He stood at Paul’s side. 2 Tim.4:17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength. Many Blessings flow FROM THE HAND OF THE LORD to us.
God uses His Right Hand to do a lot of good things. He Blesses, Shields, Protects, Covers, Strengthens, enters into Covenant and Delivers us. He brought forth salvation by His on Hand to all mankind who will believe.

He Saves, Restores and does much more for his people. The goodness of God is bestowed on His own by His Right Hand.

THE HAND OF CREATION

The forming of the earth and all the stars in the night sky were made by the Hand of God.
Six days God worked to create the earth and all of the different forms of life. At the end of  the sixth day He said it is done.
On the seventh day His Hands rested from the works of creation and forming life from the dirt.

Gen.1:31 God saw all the he had made and it was very good.

THE HANDS OF REST

The Hands of God do rest we see in:

Gen.2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
And God Blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he RESTED from all the work of creation that he had done.

Rest is such important part of life. God sets the example for us to Rest. He is the Author of Rest.
His Right Hand is a place for us to to Rest.

Ex.33:14 The Lord replied, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you REST.

When we have the Presence of God around us we can REST!

Is.11:10 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations rally to HIM, and HIS PLACE OF REST will be glorious.
There is a future REST coming to the people of God that will be full of His Glory. It will be a place that is filled with the Presence of the Lord and a true joy  to live in. Because the Lamb of God will have done all things His Father said to do. Our enemies will be under our feet forever. Several times in the Word of God it is written sit here at MY Right Hand until I put all your enemies under your feet.

Sounds like the Hand of Jesus is a really good place for us to REST, even seeing our enemies defeated!

Ps.16:8,9 I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my Right Hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will REST secure.

Again the Presence of The Lord in our lives equals us being able to REST.
1 plus 1 = 2 Gods Presence in our lives = Rest
What are we resting from? Us doing our busy own works serving. We must let the Holy Spirit lead and guide us daily.

Mat.11:29 Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you REST Take my yoke upon you and learn of me,
I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find REST for your souls.
Mat.11:30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

As King David said in Ps. 62 :1 My soul finds REST in God alone and my salvation comes from Him.

THE HAND OF COVENANT

A Covenant is an agreement between two people that is solid and  not to easily broken.
In days long ago, covenants were sometimes sealed in blood. This was not always the case to use blood, but a covenant is a binding agreement, taken very seriously between the two parties involved.

God entered into a Covenant with Noah. The earth was flooded for 40 days and 40 nights with torrential flooding. The deep springs in the earth opened and the heavens poured down rain. God had told Noah he was going to destroy the earth and to build an ark.
Noah had obeyed Gods instruction and built the ark. He filled it with pairs of animals to repopulate the earth when the flood waters receded. It took Noah 150 years to build the ark to God’s design. He was ridiculed and laughed at will building it.
After the great flood upon the earth Gods heart was grieved because every living creature had perished. So the Lord made a covenant with Noah and all life on the earth. Gods Word is very strong and sure. So are His Covenants.

Gen.9:11 I establish my Covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.
Gen.9::12 God said this is the sign of the Covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come.
Gen.9:13 I have set my Rainbow in the in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the Covenant between me and the earth.
Gen.9:16 Whenever the Rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the ever lasting Covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.
Gen.9:17 So God said to Noah, This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.

You might say the Rainbow is a living Covenant that is colorful and lovely to look at and is a strong reminder that God will never use water to destroy all life on the earth again.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ANOTHER COVENANT

Moses was invited up to mount Sinai to visit with the Lord God. While on the mountain Moses was told by God what was important for the people to live a healthy life style that the Lord could Bless them.
The Ten Commandments were written on stone tablets by Moses Hand.
Moses shattered the stone tablets of God’s instruction, on how to live, because he became very angry when he came down from the mountain to find the people in idolatry. They had taken the gold the Egyptians had given them and formed an idol and worshiped it.
The second time Moses went up the mountain to be with God, The Lord wrote the same Ten Commandments out with His own Hand.
The Lord did this to replace the tablets Moses had broken in his anger.

Ex.34:1 The Lord said to Moses,”Chisel out two more stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the Words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.”

1. Love your God more than anything else.
2. Don’t make anything more important than God.
3. Always say Gods name with respect.
4. Honor the Lord by resting on the 7th day of the week.
5. Love and respect your mom and dad.
6. Never hurt anyone.
7. Always be faithful to your husband or wife.
8. Don’t take anything that isn’t yours.
9. Always tell the truth.
10 Be happy with what you have.
Don’t wish for other people’s things.

These simple instructions written by the Hand of God are a recipe for a good life with peace and harmony when followed.
God is the maker of really good COVENANTS for man.

1Chron.16:15a He remembers His COVENANT forever the Word he commanded, for a thousand generations.

Heb.13: 20a May the God of peace, who through the Blood of the Eternal COVENANT brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus
that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will.

The most amazing COVENANT was brought forth by God’s Hand when He shed His Blood for us that we may live with Him.

THE HAND OF STRENGTH

The mind that we posses is unable to comprehend the power that is in THE HAND OF GOD.

1Chron.29:12 WEALTH AND Honor come from You; You are the ruler of all things. In your hands are STRENGTH and power to exalt and give STRENGTH to all.

1Chron.16:11 Look to the LORD and His STRENGTH; seek His face always.

1Chron.16:27 Splendor and majesty are before HIM; STRENGTH and joy in his dwelling.

When we look at what scripture says about God, He has some really good stuff with Him!

In His house are : WEALTH and HONOR. HE is the RULER OF ALL THINGS.
In His HANDS ARE STRENGTH and POWER to lift up and give to all.
Before Him are SPLENDOR and MAJESTY
But what actually is in His dwelling is STRENGTH AND JOY.

JOY and STRENGTH go hand in hand.

Nehemiah 8:10b Do not grieve for the JOY of the LORD is your STRENGTH.

Ps.81:1 Sing for JOY to God our STRENGTH; shout aloud to the God of Jacob.

Ps.29:11 The Lord gives STRENGTH to His people; the Lord Blesses His people  with peace.

Ps.28:7 The Lord is my STRENGTH and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for JOY and I give thanks to Him in song.

Is.40:31 But those whose hope is in the Lord will renew their STRENGTH. They will soar on wings of eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.

When we are STRENGTHENED by THE HAND OF THE LORD, JOY will come flooding in.
STRENGTH brings JOY. STRENGTH given us by God will cause us to have JOY.

Many years ago I was laying on the floor in a revival service and I was laughing so hard and could not stop.
The reason I had so much JOY AND LAUGHTER was because the Holy Spirit showed me that King Jesus had never lost a battle or was it possible for him to. Another words not only is God able to make us STRONG in Him but we will Win the Battle in His Name.
So in the STRENGTH OF THE LORD is also THE JOY OF THE LORD. They dwell together.

Spend time with God. Read His Word. Be sensitive to the gentle drawing of the Holy Spirit. Time spent with God is never wasted, it will STRENGTHEN YOU and makes you STRONGER TO HEAR HIS VOICE. Seek to be STRENGTHENED by His Hand.
IT is a known fact you become like the people you hang out with. They rub off on you. It is the same way with God. If you spend time in His presence He will rub off on you. This may not be apparent to you, but those close in your life will see Jesus.
So be STRENGTHENED in the Presence of God and receive JOY.
Jesus endured the cross for the JOY that was set before him.

VICTORY IS FROM GOD’S HAND

2 Samuel 22:51 He gives his King GREAT VICTORIES; He shows unfailing kindness to His anointed, to David and his descendants forever.
2 Samuel 8:6 The Lord gave David VICTORY where ever he went.
Ps 21:1 O Lord, the King rejoices in YOUR strength. How great is his joy in the VICTORIES You give.

One of my favorites is: Ps.44:3 It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them VICTORY; it was Your RIGHT HAND, Your ARM, and the light of Your Face, for you loved them.
Ps.44:4 You are my King and my God, who DECREES VICTORIES for Jacob.

We can do everything we know how to do when faced with opposition. But from The Lords hand comes success in battle.
Asking the Lord to fight your battle is very wise. He sees what may not be apparent to your line of vision.
The angels of God are waiting to be released in battle on our behalf.
Sometimes being still and waiting is a good choice. Staying in close communion with the Holy Spirit, walking in obedience to the Word of God is key to having close relationship with Jesus.
I love when it was spoken to heroes in the Bible, You need not fight this battle, The Lord will fight for you.
I believe God is still speaking this today.
King David had the Favor of God upon his life and it showed on the battle field. The Lord decreed VICTORY for David and his armies.
I believe because of Gods great love for us we can walk in VICTORY in very battle. But we must walk close to Him doing life His way.

The HAND of God is seen in the beautiful work of CREATION. We can see His HAND In the establishment of COVENANTS.
People being touched by THE JOY OF THE LORD and STRENGTHENED by His RIGHT HAND. Success and VICTORIES being given that come directly from HIS HAND. God’s Hand is full of Strength and His goodness.

The HAND OF GOD is capable of doing anything only if we only believe.
