“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” John 17:17
Jesus talking to the Father, asking Him to sanctify us in the truth.
In verse 20 He says, “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;”
He’s asking on OUR behalf. What does it mean to be sanctified in the truth?
God’s word IS TRUTH. As we read, study, and meditate on His Words, they become a part of us.
We are made holy, as the Truth fills us through and through. We are set apart for Him.
It is mind boggling to me to imagine the Father and The Son having a conversation about ME. Jesus talking to God the Father and asking Him to take me deeper into His truth! Wow
So Jesus I agree with Your Prayer for me. Come and sanctify me in Your Truth.
