“…She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

So familiar to us but what if you were Joseph, what if you were asleep and the angel of the Lord appeared to you. He had to be having a hard time sleeping just finding out that his beloved Mary was with child and he knew it wasn’t his. And then this messenger tells him this child will save His people from their sins! What?

I love verse 24: “And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife.”

No questions, not hesitation, no doubt.

Father, will you give to us this heart like Joseph? That we would be able to hear from you and do as you say.
